Imagination, Illumination, and Writing Inspiration for 2022

Join internationally renowned visual teaching artist, Gowri Savoor, as she shares some bright spots on her journey as an artist-educator, reveals what sparks her imagination, and takes us on a short creative activity to inspire us into the the new year.

Gowri Savoor is a visual teaching artist whose practice includes sculpture, illustration, and writing. Gowri is the founder of A River of Light, an organization committed to bringing art to the community through participatory art events, parades, and installations. She has been a practicing teaching artist for over twenty years, and is the co-director of Teaching Artists Connect. When she isn't writing for children, drawing, or dreaming about art, she can be found walking through the woods with a little red dog.
